Most Camera Manufactures have their own DVR Model Series including a Remote Viewing Smart Phone App. Sometimes their DVR's are associated with their cameras only and others times it would be able to view most camera manufactures. Usually their are Anologue Cameras connected to a DVR. If you see Anologue and IP Cameras connected to a DVR it is call a Hybrid DVR. If your on a Network with IP Cameras you use a NVR.
